Photo of the Day - Raindrops - June 02
This image was captured in a few quick moments before (as I was cooking) dinner. The rain had been falling hard for quite a while and we were enjoying the typical Florida thunderstorm. I had yet to capture a single image and it was not likely I would have much of that magic light left after dinner so I grabbed my camera and went out to our front porch. I quickly noticed that the wind had blown the rain in and the screen was wet. The little droplets were catching a bit of light and my attention. I only had 3 minutes left on the stove top timer so I had to be quick. I tried a few angles but there was certainly a favorite as you see in this image. I'm not sure you could capture this image with an iPhone, however if it were used with an additional lens maybe so, either way this is a basic photo easily captured with a DSLR like my Canon 7D. It's just a matter of using your creative license, manual exposure and manual focus then look for the light! These somewhat abstract images really excite me and by the responses on social media others are fascinated as well. Enjoy!
